The rich program of sports events of the EMG Torino 2019 has been enriched with three new disciplines, highly requested by international athletes: the Canoa Slalom, the Archery Field and the Vertical Run.
The first will take place at the Ivrea Canoe Stadium on Saturday 3rd August; the second instead on 31st July and 1st August, at the Castello di Rivoli park; the third at the Fenestrelle Fort on Sunday 28th July.
Many sportsmen have contacted us from all over the world to show their enthusiasm towards the Canoa Slalom, as the venue is one of the most prestigious in Europe, for this reason the Organising Committee has decided to include it among the disciplines of Games, also mindful of the great success of the WMG Torino 2013.
The Castello di Rivoli park is a very suggestive setting to host a competition that is among the most requested and appreciated, such as Field Archery, one of the most loved by archers from all over the world.
The 4000 Steps is the ideal race for those who want to get involved with a unique challenge in the world. This is a competition that takes place in a prestigious location from the historical, artistic and cultural point of view, the largest alpine fortress in Europe, second in the world after the Chinese wall, a symbol of the Province of Torino. The Vertical Run runs along a 2,800 meter staircase with a vertical drop of 650 meters and a completely closed stretch of the Fenestrelle Fort.
All information relating to the new disciplines included in the sports program can be found in the sports section of the site.
